WAEC CBT Practice Online

Practise WAEC questions by subject and topic, take timed CBT mock tests, review worked answers and track your progress — free, for 66 WASSCE subjects.

Choose a subject and start the clock.

Questions are drawn at random from the bank each time, so no two papers are the same. Nothing is sent anywhere — your scores are saved only in this browser, under your own progress record.

Exam mode runs like the real thing: the clock counts down, you get no feedback until you submit, and the paper submits itself when time is up.

Practise WAEC Questions in CBT Mode

This page is a free WAEC CBT practice platform and exam simulator for the WASSCE objective papers. Every question is written to the current WAEC syllabus in the same style and difficulty as past questions — four options, one key, equal marks, no negative marking — so a paper here rehearses exactly what the hall will ask of you: recall, at speed, under a clock. It is an online alternative to WAEC CBT app downloads, and after your first visit it keeps working offline.

How the WAEC CBT Practice Test Works

  1. Select a subject from the 66 question banks.
  2. Choose 10, 20 or 40 questions — or the whole bank.
  3. Pick exam mode (timed, 90 seconds a question) or coach mode (instant feedback).
  4. Sit the paper and submit — or let the clock submit for you.
  5. Get your score instantly, with the working behind every answer.
  6. Read your topic-by-topic breakdown to find weak topics.
  7. Retry the topics you missed, or study them in topic lessons.

WAEC CBT Exam Mode vs Coach Mode

Coach mode is for learning: it marks each question as you answer and shows the explanation straight away, which is the fastest way to understand a new topic or see why a method fails. Exam mode is a true WAEC mock test: 90 seconds a question, no feedback until you submit, the same pressure as the hall. Learn it in coach mode; prove it in exam mode.

WAEC Practice Questions by Topic

Every question is mapped to its syllabus topic. Your result names the topics that cost you marks, the score tracker follows them across papers, and Study by topic lets you drill one topic at a time — lesson, worked examples, then questions on only that topic. Pair it with the WAEC syllabus to see everything a topic can ask.

WAEC CBT Practice for SSCE and GCE

School candidates (May/June) and GCE private candidates write from the same syllabus, so the same banks serve both. If you are unsure which route applies to you, read school candidates vs GCE private candidates.

WAEC CBT Practice — Frequently Asked Questions

Is WAEC CBT practice on waeccbt.com free?

Yes. Every paper on this page is free — all 63,045 questions across 66 WASSCE subjects, with instant marking and worked explanations. No account, payment or app download is needed.

Are these real WAEC past questions?

They are original practice questions written question-by-question to the current WAEC syllabus, in the same style, format and difficulty as past WASSCE papers — the same topics, four options, one key. You get the benefit of past-question practice with fresh questions you cannot have memorised, and because they follow the current syllabus you never drill a topic WAEC has dropped.

How does the WAEC CBT practice test work?

Select a subject, choose 10, 20 or 40 questions or the whole bank, pick exam or coach mode, and start. When you submit, the paper is marked instantly, every question shows the working behind the correct answer, and your score is broken down by syllabus topic so you know exactly what to revise next.

What is the difference between exam mode and coach mode?

Coach mode marks each question as you answer and shows the explanation immediately — best for learning new topics and understanding mistakes. Exam mode runs a strict clock of 90 seconds per question and holds all marking back until you submit — best for timed WAEC mock tests and checking whether you can perform under pressure.

Can I practise WAEC questions offline?

Yes. After your first visit with a data connection, your browser stores the practice engine and question bank on your phone. You can then sit papers, get marked and read explanations with no connection; scores are saved on your device. You only need data for the first visit, updates, new guides, PDF downloads and sharing.

Does this WAEC CBT practice cover SSCE and GCE?

Yes. School candidates (May/June SSCE) and private candidates (GCE) write from the same syllabus, so the same practice bank serves both — only your registration route and sitting differ.

How is my WAEC practice score calculated?

Each question carries equal marks with no negative marking, exactly like WAEC Paper 1. Your result shows the overall percentage plus accuracy per syllabus topic, and the score tracker records every paper so you can watch weak topics improve over time.
